    Janet heads a diverse staff of talented individuals that have been brought together to create award-winning, memorable events.

    She has been a key figure in the development of the corporate special events industry over the past three decades. She has served on the advisory board for The Special Event and currently is on the board for SEARCH.

    Her distinctions include SITE’s prestigious Crystal Awards, numerous Gala Awards and nominations from Special Events Magazine, MPI Supplier of the Year as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Special Event. In 2012 she was inducted into the Event Solutions Hall of Fame.

    Janet has addressed audiences across the nation and overseas, sharing her 30-plus years of industry knowledge. She has also served as an instructor for various seminars and classes held at MPI locations, ISES and universities in the greater Los Angeles area. In her sparse free time Janet loves to travel the world.

    As EventWorks' Technical Director and head of technical operations, Ted's 25 years of experience and success in the event industry has supplied with him an unmatched expertise in staging unusual and logistically challenging jobs.

    Ted organizes and oversees every technical aspect of event installations, aided by his formal education in engineering, technical theater, and business. Ted's passion for technology drives him to continuously research and pioneer the application of cutting edge technologies in the event and meeting world.

    Ted combines his work expertise with his private passion. He collects and restores classic cars to award winning quality and carries this level of perfection to every event.


  • Selena

    Selena started at EventWorks as an intern in 1989. She was promoted to office manager and controller three short months later!

    Selena’s background in banking and finance pre-destined her to oversee the inner workings of the EventWorks office.  She is in charge of administrative functions, including overseeing quality control, processing accounts receivable and payable and regulating employees’ benefits packages. She keeps the office running like a well-oiled machine.

    Selena loves to travel. During her vacations she flies off to the Caribbean. Favorite island: Barbados.


  • Max
    Project Manager.
    Max Blum
    Project Manager

    Max joined the EventWorks team on a full-time basis in the fall of 2015 to lend operational and event support to our team. He is one of those rather rare real Californians, born and raised in Los Angeles. However, he carries two passports thanks to his British "mum" and he has spent a lot of time in the United Kingdom.

     

    Max holds a B.A. in Communication and Media Studies from CSUN and comes to us with a diverse background in television production, marketing and communications. He honed his skills on National Geographic, Travel Channel, Animal Planet and commercial productions after working for many years in the non-profit world and the food and beverage industry.

     

    Max manages stress by practicing Brazilian jiu jitsu and spends his spare time volunteering for a good cause. He is a member of the Young Literati and a volunteer at the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. Both organizations support free programs, resources, and services available to the millions of adults, children, and youth in Los Angeles.

    Director of Floral & Event Design

    Formerly a top boutique event designer in NYC, Kate joined the EventWorks team in May 2010.  Known for incorporating original design into memorable themes, Kate consistently delivers striking visual impact by fusing modern design with remarkable use of color and texture.

    Contrary to many design leaders, Kate works hand-in-hand with the client from initial meeting through planning and execution to ensure that expectations are met.  She has proven that a successful event begins with design but affirms its value with the use of symmetry and attention to detail throughout the entire process.

    Privately she loves to hike and bike. The wild outdoors inspire her to develop new ideas.

    Since joining EventWorks in 2011 she has quickly been promoted from event manager to account executive.

     

    As account executive Brynne oversees and manages projects from first proposal to final production. Her passion for planning and love for details are much appreciated and we are most grateful for her commitment to social responsibility and giving back.

     

    She combines her professional experience in the non-profit field with her knack for research to find good causes for post event donation and other fringe benefits wherever the events take her.

    With 18 years of experience in a variety of roles within the special events industry, Kristen brings to the Eventworks team a background in event production & management, customer relations, marketing and communications. She was a finalist for the 2015 Corporate Planner/Producer of the Year Event Solutions Spotlight Awards, and has served as an associate producer on several award-winning productions.

     

    Her perspective as a producer, planner and supplier across a range of industries and platforms couples with her passion for technical production, customer satisfaction and the collaborative process to provide a strong foundation for producing superior-quality events. Kristen excels in integrating and managing the full scope of event production details for Eventworks' largest global clients and events.

     

    A native of the Washington, D.C. Metro area, Kristen resided in Las Vegas and San Francisco before landing in Los Angeles in 2012, preferring to visit the seasons these days rather than live in them. You can often find her with suitcase and appetite in tow for both work and personal exploration, and loves the extended production family with whom she is grateful to work. When not working or traveling, you will likely find her on her mat, in the kitchen or enjoying the great outdoors.

    Carolyn has been with EventWorks since before we even called our company by that name. She started on a  6-week contract to build props for a large scale event.

    As production manager she supervises our production staff and manages the inventory of our 20 000 plus square foot warehouse.

    In charge of all things prop, from purchasing and construction to rental, delivery and return, she keeps track of many of items at all times.

    In her spare time, she gardens, plays with her two dogs, collects 45's, Star Wars and Star Trek toys and still finds time to play MMO computer games.

    As Director of Business Development, Alisa attends many industry functions on behalf of EventWorks. With over 10 years of experience in the events & hospitality industry, she has cultivated relationships with professionals across the globe.  

     

    With a degree in Managerial & Organizational Communication from Point Loma Nazarene University, Alisa is equally comfortable in sales and event production. Her enthusiastic personality and genuine love for people combine with her vast event planning knowledge to create a sales force to be reckoned with.

     

    Although hailing from the Bay Area, Alisa has been a resident of Southern California since 2005.  After having spent bouts of time in Hawaii, Australia, and Costa Rica, Alisa’s passion for travel and new experiences continue to parlay into her professional life.  She is an avid sports enthusiast and loves the SoCal beach weather!

    Elizabeth brings a diverse skill set to our team.

     

    Her 20-year history working for fairs, festivals and business associations, which included producing meetings and events, inspires an imaginative approach to event visioning and development. 

     

    Elizabeth primarily works as a part of our creative team to formulate the client’s ideas and wishes into a comprehensive design concept that can be turned into a successful program. You can also find her helping out behind the scenes on pre-production and occasionally on site overseeing the set up and management of programs.

     

    Elizabeth’s passion for music, the theater and traveling to new places is a great resource when coming up with new ideas and perspectives on how to achieve a client’s goals.

    Having recently directed the World Press Event and Grand Opening of Harry Potter's World of Wizarding at Universal Studios Japan, Greg is an award winning director and concept designer, who has created shows and spectaculars worldwide for more than 25 years. His award winning productions have spanned a variety of venues, and have been developed and staged on behalf of Universal Studios, Walt Disney International, Paramount Parks, and an array of the world’s top corporations.

    He loves baseball, world travel and Persian cats.

    Ben developed a love of all-things Chinese and consequently studied the Mandarin language while attending university. Having spent ample time in Taipei as well as Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, Ben feels at-home amongst the people of China.
     
    班對所有跟中國相關事務的熱愛已行之有年,讀大學時研習中文。長期居住在臺北、上海、北京及廣州,跟華人相處讓他有回家的感覺。

In addition to his other responsibilities, Ben assists the Eventworks team with their growing China-based clientele. Eventworks has worked with Mandarin speaking groups throughout the United States producing events — venue selection, business meetings, entertainment and set design.

Ben’s interests include the acquisition and improvement of several foreign languages, as well as training and performing classical ballet.

    Rebecca's work can only be described as art. She brings attention to every detail and boundless energy to each oeuvre, whether she creates unique custom branded floral walls or whimsical 6" floral martini glasses.

     

    Rebecca takes inspiration from almost anything and everything she sees and she loves the challenge that comes with every event theme, stretching her creative mind to produce imaginative floral designs.

     

    Her avant-garde work has been featured in the 2015 World Flower Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center and she recently conceptualized and created the floral decor for a primetime TV celebrity wedding on “The Bachelor at 20: A Celebration Of Love" that aired on Valentine's Day.

     

    Her experience also extends to working with famous politicians, fashion icons, producers and many celebrities.

    Multi-lingual, international journalist, producer with 25 years experience in the field of media, Marion applies her mainstream media sensibilities to corporate blogging and social media to tell our story in an entertaining and informative way.

    A self-confessed geek, she continues to explore the ever-changing world of social media to adapt our strategy on our Blog, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

    When not at the computer, she loves to catch small waves on her long-board – as long as the water temperature is above 62 F.
